Each 1.5 hour riding session starts with time with a horse, grooming, getting ready to ride, a 45 minute riding lesson, time to remove tack, and groom the horse after the lesson. Available for ages 4+. All participants must wear long pants and shoes/boots with a smooth sole and a short heel. Note that there are weight limits on our horses to keep their backs and bodies healthy.
A private session offers one-on-one instruction. This is great for beginners or those who want individualized attention. We also offer time with an aged horse who still needs brushing and love for those who no longer ride.
A group lesson involves two or more riders. This is great for families, friends, and people with similar riding abilities.
Aged and new horse manure for your garden, yard, soil, composting projects to return nutrients to the soil, boost your compost, and re-use. Reasonable rates. Pick up by bringing your 5 gallon buckets ($8)/truck/trailer (approx. $50) to fill. Tractor loading may be available if mutual time can be arranged in the evening.
From gardeningknowhow.com, "composting horse manure can help your compost pile become super-charged...It's also slightly higher in nutritional value than cow manure."
Hay available from the field during hay season and occasionally during the off season from the barn. Mulch, first cut and second cut hay is produced on the farm and sold at reasonable rates to help feed the lesson horses.
